Are you looking for something that’s both fun and educational for your child during the spring break? Join us for an out-of-this-world spring break camp experience.

 

Campers will explore the solar system and the planets, as well as take a journey to the moon in our newly updated immersive Hudnall Planetarium. They will discover the science behind the changing seasons, and even launch a rocket or two. Each camp day will include a planetarium show and exciting, hands-on STEM lessons and activities.

 

Registration is required for each child.

 

Registration Deadline: Wednesday, March 4

 

Camp cost: $30 per child per day (members receive a 10% discount)

 

Grades: 1st-4th grade

 

Camp Days: Monday-Friday Mar. 9-13, 9 a.m.- noon

  • Monday, March 9- Exploring the planets
  • Tuesday, March 10- Journey to the Moon
  • Wednesday, March 11- Space Rocks! Comets, meteors, and asteroids
  • Thursday, March 12- Weather and Seasons
  • Friday, March 13- Space Exploration and Rockets

 

How to register:

1)  Purchase tickets  here   for each child on the day(s) they will attend Spring Break Camp. Be sure to add each day to the cart before checking out.
2)  Complete the online registration form for each child by clicking  here.


Your child will not be considered registered for camp until both steps are completed.  Once both steps have been completed, you will receive a camp confirmation email within 1 business day. 

Additional Information:
Drop off: Morning drop off will begin at 8:45am in the Science Center lobby.  The Science Center is located at 1411 E Lake St, Tyler, TX, 75701. You may use the parking lot in front of the Science Center for both drop off and pick up.

Pick up: Pickup will begin at Noon in the Science Center lobby. Only the parent/guardian or emergency contact listed on the registration form will be allowed to pick up their child, and will require photo ID. If you would like to authorize another adult for pick up, please notify Science Center staff prior to pick up. Prompt pick up is required. If your child is not picked up by 12:15pm, a late fee of $15 will be assessed at the time of pick up.

Waiver form: Prior to the first day of camp, you will need to complete and sign the waiver form. This form can be downloaded by clicking here. We will also have waiver forms available at the ticket office.

Camp Enrollment: Each camp day requires a certain number of enrolled students to make. If a camp day that you are registered for does not meet the enrollment requirements, you will be notified by Thursday, March 5, 2020 and provided a full refund for that day.
